Owen Sandoval

Coach Sandoval brings a wealth of playing, coaching, and educational experience to Nike Football Camps. A standout at Westhill High School, he was a three-year varsity letter winner (2006-2008) and served as team captain in 2008. His on-field performance earned him All-FCIAC West Second Team honors in 2007 and All-FCIAC Honorable Mention in 2008.

After high school, Coach Sandoval attended the NEAG School of Education at the University of Connecticut at Storrs, where he earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in curriculum and instruction (2009-2014). His strong academic background has shaped his approach to coaching, emphasizing not just skill development but also the importance of discipline, perseverance, and preparation for life off the field.

Following his playing career, Coach Sandoval transitioned into teaching and coaching, dedicating nearly a decade to developing athletes at his alma mater. He served as an assistant coach at Westhill from 2014 to 2022, working in various capacities, including freshman assistant, varsity line coach, and offensive coordinator, before being named head coach in 2023. Known for his leadership, passion, and commitment to player development, Coach Sandoval is excited to share his knowledge and help young athletes take their game to the next level at Nike Football Camps.
