Paul is USPTA Elite, Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Professional and Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Pickleball Certified.
Paul is originally from Bristol, Rhode Island.
He has been the Head Tennis Professional at Vineyard Haven Yacht Club in Martha's Vineyard (2018), the Tennis Director at the Landings Yacht, Golf & Tennis Club (2011-17), Fort Myers, and the Tennis Director at the Weymouth Club (2005-10) in Weymouth, MA. Paul was the National Administrator for USTA Junior Team Tennis (2000-03). Paul has also been the Men's Head Tennis Coach at the US Naval Academy (Patriot League Champions and Coach of the Year, 1998) and the Women's Head Coach at Trinity College (1990-93), Washington, DC. He has also been the Boy's Head Tennis Coach at Canterbury High School (2015), Fort Myers.
