Pernille Halbro

Pernille Halbro is the Head Professional and Director of Pickleball at Pickleball America, where she oversees programming, instruction, and player development for juniors and adults. She has been active in racquet sports since 2016, coaching both tennis and pickleball. After discovering pickleball in 2020, it quickly became her main passion and profession. Pernille competed in tournaments and now focuses on helping players develop skills like paddle control, footwork, strategy, and game tactics in a calm, fun, and engaging environment.

Pernille served as a tennis instructor with the Stamford Greater Tennis Association (2016–2024) and also coached privately. In 2024–25, she was a Multi-Sport Coach at King School in Stamford, CT, and from 2021–2023, she was Territory Director for Impact Pickleball, creating programs, hosting tournaments, and delivering lessons in partnership with local Parks and Recreation departments. She also served as Vice President of the Stamford Pickleball Club (2023–2025) and is the Founder of Pickleball Impact Zone (2023–present), which now partners with Stamford and other cities’ Parks and Recreation departments to deliver inclusive programs, clinics, leagues, and community-focused events. Certifications: RPO Level 1 & 2, IFP Level 1 & 2, CPR, Concussion Wise (Sports Safety International), Mandated Reporter Training. Known for her calm, intuitive, and engaging coaching style, Pernille specializes in player development, skill building, and tactical coaching, helping players of all levels improve while having fun.
