Peter Hopson
Assistant Coach - Defensive Line, Player Development
Peter Hopson began his 7th season coaching at COD in 2023. Hopson was a member of the 2021 and 2022 NJCAA Championship Staffs.
Experience
- Has worked with defensive line, offensive line, tight ends and H-Backs with the Chaps
- Spent one season coaching high school football at his alma mater, Salt Lake City East HS
Education
- Spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring from active duty as a staff sergeant
- Deployed once in Iraq and three times in Afghanistan
- Played his four seasons of high school football in Salt Lake City
- Grew up in Georgia
- Has been a guest coach during summer camps at Clemson, Notre Dame and Auburn
