Priscilla Morgan took the reins of the Texas Wesleyan Volleyball program in February 2017, becoming the program’s seventh head coach.

Morgan came to Texas Wesleyan from the University of the Southwest where she served as head coach for two seasons. At USW, she quickly took the Mustangs from a 10-win season to the best record in program history at 24-9 in 2016. Under her guidance that season, USW advanced to the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) championship match while featuring eight all-conference selections. Overall, she holds a record of 34-29 as a collegiate head coach.

At USW Morgan also served as Student-Athlete Academic Support Liaison and guided the entire department to a 3.2 cumulative GPA, which won the RRAC GPA Championship in 2015-16.

Morgan has had previous collegiate coaching experience as an assistant at Missouri Southern State University, the University of Tulsa, and Southeastern Louisiana University. In her one season at Missouri Southern, the Lions doubled their win total from the previous season and equaled the program’s win total from the previous three seasons. At Tulsa, she served as Director of Volleyball Operations, overseeing team travel, game day operations, and running the Golden Hurricanes annual tournament. Morgan spent three and a half years as an assistant at Southeastern Louisiana, serving as the program’s recruiting coordinator and assisting with day-to-day operations.

In addition, Morgan served as a graduate assistant at Middle Tennessee State University. She also has had experience coaching at the club level in Atlanta, GA, Mandeville, LA, and Joplin, MO. She holds USA Volleyball CAP Level 1 and IMPACT certifications.

Morgan played four seasons at Belhaven University (Jackson, MS) where she was a two-year captain and an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. She helped the Blazers to the 2006 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championship. During her junior year she served four months as Interim Head Coach and later graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration and a minor in Sports Ministry.

Morgan and her husband, Ryan, reside in Fort Worth.
