Raheem Waller

Raheem Waller enters his first season on the staff as an assistant coach. Waller comes to Eastern Shore after three seasons at Buford High School in South Carolina as the head coach. During Waller’s stint he had two playoff appearances and was once named Region Coach of the Year. Prior to coaching, Waller also enjoyed a professional career in the IBL, USBL, as well as internationally.

On the collegiate level, Waller has been on the staff at schools on the Division I and Division II levels. His career as a coach began with a one-year stint at Elizabeth City State University in 2004-05. Other stops for Waller include Chipola College, University of West Georgia, Georgia State University, Coastal Carolina, and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) schools Florida A&M University and Savannah State. During those stops he served on the staffs of former national coaches of the year Cliff Ellis and Rod Barnes at Coastal Carolina and Georgia State respectively.

As a player he was a standout and team captain at South Carolina State University. Waller earned all-conference and all-tournament honors while leading the Bulldogs to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in 1996 and 1998. He earned his bachelor's degree in industrial technology from South Carolina State in 1999 and Masters in Sport Management from American Public University in 2016.

Waller is married to the former Dominique Hemphill and has twin sons named Jacob and Matthew.
