Rainique Cornish

Rainique Cornish is a dedicated Dance Team Director known for her leadership, innovative choreography, and commitment to developing strong, cohesive teams and dance productions. With 10 years of experience in dance, dance team and stage production management, she has transformed dance teams into high-performing, award-winning ensembles known for their precision, energy, and creativity.

Rainique began her dance journey at Dancers Loft, when she was younger specializing in hip-hop, jazz and tap. In her young adult years, she danced, traveled and taught African Dance with the group “Infinite Roots” for 10years, and helped develop the stage production for the Judah Baptist Church Association “Black Butterfly Cotillions” and fashion shows throughout her city. Over time, she developed a passion for team dynamics, blending technical excellence with a collaborative approach to coaching. In 2018, she started her own dance group specializing in majorette dance. In 2021 her dance group became a company offering majorette, hip hop, and ballet fundamentals. Under Rainique’s direction, Ladies of Finesse Dance Company has achieved notable success, including Grand Championships, and many 1st place overall trophies.

Rainique’s leadership and dedication to developing the dancer and the child has allowed her to also build relationships and partnerships in the Stamford community- collaborating with the Stamford and Norwalk Public School systems, and Stamford PAL Center.

As a director, she emphasizes not only performance excellence but also personal growth, fostering an environment where dancers build confidence, discipline, and lifelong skills. Rainique Cornish is committed to creating impactful routines that captivate audiences and inspire team members to reach their highest potential.

In addition to creating, Rainique is dedicated to mentoring and sharing her love for dance and the arts with aspiring artists. She believes in the transformative power of the arts to inspire, connect and empower communities.
