Riikka Lehtonen
Camp Director
Riikka Lehtonen has been the Girl's Head Basketball Coach at The Lovett School since 2017 and served as an assistant coach with the Lions varsity program during the 2016 season. Lehtonen, Region 5-AAA Coach of the Year, has led her teams to two Region Championships and multiple State Playoff qualifications.
Before Lovett, she coached at college and high school levels and her playing career consisted of college, professional, and National teams.
Lehtonen grew up as a basketball player in Finland, coming through the ranks of that country's national team programs. She was a collegiate player at Kilgore College in Texas, finishing her collegiate career at Eastern New Mexico State University. Lehtonen played two years professionally in Germany.
She holds a Masters in Education from Georgia State University.
