Rob Kaleikau

Rob Kaleikau is the Head Volleyball Coach at Metropolitan Community College.

Rob Kaleikau is the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at MCC - Longview Campus (Metropolitan Community College), as well as Founder/Performance Director of RKV (Rob Kaleikau Volleyball) Skills Training Academy, Lee’s Summit, MO.

Since 2009, Rob has been at the helm of MCC volleyball and has received the NJCAA Region 16 Coach of the Year award nine times, with six seasons of over 20 wins, and overall win/loss record of 230 wins out of 470 matches. During his 15 year tenure, MCC highlights include: 3-time NJCAA National Tournament qualifying team, highest national ranking 8th; 9-time NJCAA Regional Champion; 3-time District O Champion; 4-time District O Runner-Up; 47 players All-Region honors, 1st & 2nd teams; Four NJCAA All-Americans; 3-time NJCAA Academic All-American team distinction; 25 student athletes have continued on to play at a four-year college.

At RKV, founded in 1995 (a skills training only academy, not a club), Rob has trained thousands of athletes in all positions and phases of the game, through private lessons, camps/clinics, team training’s, and has taken the RKV platform to train middle/high school teams and athletes nationally over a 6-state region.

Rob was a D1 setter/hitter/backrow student athlete at Loyola Marymount Univ., Los Angeles, CA., and Graceland Univ., Lamoni, Iowa. While at Graceland, he was a decorated athlete, receiving two-time All-American distinction, two-time team Captain, three-time League MVP and National Tournament MVP awards. Rob was honored individually in the Graceland Hall of Fame in 2019, and as a team Hall of Fame member of the 1979 NAIA National Championship team alongside his brother, Ed.

Rob received dual undergraduate degrees from Graceland (Psychology & Business Administration.), a Master's Degree in Urban/Regional Planning from the University of Hawaii, and post-graduate study completion, AMDP, from Harvard University. He is a native of Missouri, married, wife Cynthia, and two sons, both married, Taylor and Jace.
