Robin Bumpus Penoyer

Robin Fall 2012

Coach Penoyer has sent numerous pitchers to college at all levels of play DI, DII, and DIII as well as Jr. Colleges.

Currently serving as an Assistant Coach at Onondaga, Penoyer coached at Clinton Central School Corporation, where she was the starting point for coaches beginning to teach fastpitch pitching as a unit in the physical educational setting. In the spring of 2015, she took over as Interim Head Coach at Colby College. Then in February of 2015 headed to Italy to coach the Thunders of Castelfranco Venito, Italy alongside the legendary Adriano Morabito. Penoyer has also been coaching the New York Storm softball team for over 20 years.

Penoyer is respected in the softball community as she has been invited to speak at numerous colleges and camps. Her speaking engagements include:

Penoyer played with the Professional Fastpitch Extreme Tour in the 2006 and 2007 seasons. In addition, she played with the Twin City Jammers, Topton Vips, Allentown Pates, Pennsylvania Clippers all ASA Major Teams. During her stint she had many tournament Championship accolades with no-hitters and perfect games.

In 1996 Penoyer was inducted into the University of Minnesota Softball Hall of Fame. She is also in the Johnstown Sports Hall of Fame and in 2015 was inducted into the Greater UTICA Hall of Fame. In addition she has collected awards from N.O.W. Trailblazer, ESPN, and Sports Illustrated.

Penoyer interned at the National Sports Center, Blaine MN. (Helping run in every aspect the 1992 USA CUP and Olympic Cycling Trials)

She is currently a New York EMT.
