Coach Knittig will enter her second season as the Griffins head coach. During her first year, she had a 25-18 overall record and a 13-5 conference record with their season coming to an end as a SLIAC championship runner-up. Five student-athletes earned a spot in the SLIAC All-Conference Team, two were named SLIAC All-Tournament, and two were selected CSC Academic All-District.
The Barnhart, Mo., native, appeared in 182 games at Fort Hays State. She finished her career with a .252 clip, 94 hits, 44 runs scored, 16 doubles, eight homers and 46 RBI. Her breakout season was in 2017 where she posted a .288 average, 46 hits, 19 runs scored, 11 doubles, four homers and 26 RBI.
