Ruben Garcia

Ruben Garcia has been a trusted Nike Basketball Camp Director for the past four years and is the Founder/Director of the Team Select youth basketball program which was established in 2009. Ruben is passionate about the game of basketball and has turned that passion into a life-long pursuit. Coach Garcia played the game up to the collegiate level but his ability to teach the game far outweighs his ability to play the game.

Team Select dedicates itself to the advancement of youth athletes in life skills, education, college placement, network building, and philanthropy. Almost 40 of his Team Select alumni are currently playing collegiate athletics across the nation; including one athlete professionally. When it comes to youth development, Ruben has now been a pillar in the community for a decade. In addition, Ruben has the following certifications: FBI Background / LiveScan Fingerprint / NCAA coaching / NFHS Fundamentals in Coaching / NFHS CPR / NFHS Heat Exhaustion Prevention / NFHS Concussion Protocol.
