Samantha Kirn

Lewis University women's soccer head coach Chris Koenig announced that Samantha Kirn has been named the program's next assistant coach. Kirn joins Lewis after spending the previous season at Governors State University as an assistant coach and at Chicago Mustangs FC.
"I am very fortunate to have this opportunity to coach alongside Chris Koenig. He is an amazing person who has built a phenomenal program, and to be a part of the Department of Athletics at LU," Kirn said. "This place felt like home the minute I stepped on campus and can't wait to create an environment for our women to create long lasting memories."
Kirn currently serves as the assistant director of coaching and a head coach of Chicago Empire FC South and is a trainer for Soccer Speed LLC. Prior to these positions, Kirn was an assistant coach for the undefeated and 2022 National Champions, the Chicago Mustangs.
Kirn played for the Ladies Steel City FC a semi-professional football club in Joliet after spending her college career as the goalkeeper for Olivet Nazarene.
Kirn graduated from Olivet Nazarene with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation, Sport and Fitness Studies then went on to earn a Master's of Business Administration with a focus in Strategic Leadership also from ONU.
Kirn currently resides in Frankfort with her husband EJ Kirn.
Lewis begins its 2023 season at Northwood Thursday, August 31 at 2 p.m.
