Scott Bishop

Scott Bishop is the Head Volleyball Coach at Napa Valley College.

With over three decades of unwavering dedication to the sport of volleyball, Scott's coaching journey spans the levels of collegiate, high school and club volleyball. From the intense competition of collegiate Division 1, Division 2, and NAIA, his coaching acumen has left a mark. Notably, he guided teams to triumphs at local, state, and national levels, accumulating an impressive collection of championships and coaching awards.

Scott's coaching legacy reached its pinnacle with two high school State Championships, a testament to his ability to mold teams into champions. His strategic vision and leadership were instrumental in creating an environment where athletes could thrive and excel.

A product of the University of California, Berkeley, Scott not only played at the collegiate level but soared to new heights. As a player, he contributed to Cal's volleyball legacy: A four-time All American, Scott’s collegiate playing journey culminated in two National Collegiate Club Championships while receiving two National MVP awards. Scott is one of the few men’s volleyball players inducted into the Hall of Fame at Cal.

Beyond the accolades and victories, Scott's enduring passion for volleyball is the driving force behind his remarkable career. His love for the game has not only fueled his own success but has inspired countless athletes under his guidance to develop a deep appreciation for the sport.
