Scott Clark

Scott Clark enters his fifth season as the assistant men's basketball coach at Regis University in 2022-23. Clark spent the last two seasons with the Cal State Los Angeles men’s basketball program as an assistant coach under the direction of head coach, Jim Saia. His main responsibilities included recruiting, scouting, player development, and overall day-to-day operations. He helped the Golden Eagles qualify for the CCAA Championship Tournament in 2016-17, compiling an overall record of 14-16, which marked a three-game improvement from the previous season.

Clark got his coaching career off to a successful start with two seasons as an assistant coach at California Baptist. He worked with head coach Rick Croy as the Lancers posted a 54-14 record while he was there. The Lancers reached the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 in the 2014-15 season. The 2015-16 season resulted in a PacWest Conference Tournament Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. His responsibilities included player development, scouting, recruiting, and he was the summer youth camp director.

His collegiate playing career started off at Ohlone College playing for John Peterson where they captured two conference championships. He then transferred to Humboldt State University, capturing two Conference championships and two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

A native of Pleasanton, California, Clark attended Foothill High School.

Clark, who is the son of a high-school basketball coach, graduated in 2012 with his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Humboldt State. He then went on to earn his Masters in Sports Management at California Baptist.

Scott and his wife, Taylor, reside in Denver with their daughter Cannon.
