Shannon Nelson USPTA Professional has been involved in tennis for almost 20 years. He is currently a USPTA Elite certified pro, teaching at the Forest Crest Athletic Club in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, and a member of the Yonex advisory staff.
He started learning tennis in Okinawa, Japan when he was 12 years old, competing in tournaments before moving to Chandler, Arizona where he lived through college. While in Arizona, he was recruited to play for Mesa Community College. He worked his way up the line up eventually playing #2 singles and #1 doubles eventually earning a national ranking of #38 for singles and #23 for doubles.
Shannon graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors in University Studies, emphasizing in Japanese and Asian Studies.
