Shelbee Sowders

Shelbee Rodgers Sowders is a former Division 1 Collegiate Softball Player from Central, Louisiana.

After completing her high school career at Central High School, Shelbee went on to pitch at Louisiana Lafayette for the nationally ranked Ragin’ Cajuns for two seasons (2010-2012) before transferring to the University of Southern Mississippi. Throughout her career as a Ragin’ Cajun, Shelbee made two NCAA Regional and Super Regional Appearances and was a part of the Sunbelt Conference Championship Teams in 2011 and 2012. Shelbee spent the rest of career a part of the USM Golden Eagles team as a pitcher, outfielder, and slapper from 2012-2015. She was named 2015 Female Outstanding Scholar Athlete and 2015 Overall Outstanding Athlete for the Golden Eagles.

Since graduating college with her Bachelor’s Degree in communications and Master’s Degree in Sports Management, Shelbee has been a part of the Georgia Tech Softball Staff in the ACC where the Yellow Jackets compete in the ACC Championship Tournament and the McNeese State Softball Staff in the Southland Conference where the Cowgirls competed in the Southland Conference Championship and made an NCAA Regional Appearance.

Within spending her time on different softball staff’s, Shelbee has spent her time working full-time in Atlanta, GA at Champions Fast Pitch Academy where she did lessons, camps, clinics full-time, assisted in helping manage the facility, and ran their Non-Profit Organization, Tomorrow’s Champions. Shelbee is currently working in Watkinsville, GA at High Impact Training and coaching at Oconee County High School.
