Simon Edwards started his basketball career at Towson Catholic High School, then he played at Dawson Community College. Simon made the All-Tournament Team in the Medicine Hat Junior College Tournament and was voted as Dawson Team MVP as a freshman and All Region 9.
Simon lived his dreams as a Division I college basketball player at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). Simon lead the team in scoring and team MVP his senior year.
Simon was a motivational speaker for 20 years and spoke on stage in many arenas across the country. He returned back to his community of Baltimore City to use basketball to empower the people, particularly youth to prosper. This lead him to run a JrNBA and Her Time To Play (JrWNBA) basketball programs in Baltimore City.
Through his company, Simon Says Shoot Hoops Not Guns, he gives back to his community with back to school backpacks and school supply giveaways, community clean ups, food giveaways, clothes giveaways, and toys giveaways.
