Coach Tarrik Mabon, widely known as "Coach T," is a dedicated leader, mentor, and motivator with a proven track record of building championship-level basketball programs. He currently serves as the Head Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach at The First Academy in Orlando, Florida, where he led the Royals to an impressive 18-9 record in the 2024-25 season and a berth in the FHSAA 2A Region Semifinals. His outstanding leadership earned him the honor of being named the 2025 HighSchoolOnSi.com Florida Class 2A Coach of the Year.
Prior to his tenure in Florida, Coach T spent seven successful seasons (2017–2024) as the Head Varsity Coach at The Mount Vernon School in Atlanta, Georgia. Under his guidance, the program saw a dramatic transformation, culminating in a 2024 GHSA D1-1A State Championship. His overall record at Mount Vernon was 112-77, highlighted by:

Off the court, Coach T is a devoted family man. He and his wife, Sherida Mabon, are the proud parents of three energetic boys — TJ (8), Shemar (4), and Emery (3). Known for his emphasis on character, discipline, and personal growth, Coach T continues to inspire young men to excel both as athletes and individuals.
