Taylor Clay is the Head Middle School Girls Basketball Coach and Assistant High School Girls Basketball Coach at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, TN. Coach Clay has been a Nike Basketball Skills instructor for three years.
Coach Clay is a White House, TN native who spent his first two years at Trevecca Nazarene University. As a Trojan, he shot 42.5% from the 3pt line which was 7th best in the conference. Following a two-year campaign, he chose to end his basketball playing career at Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. During his junior season at Bethel University, the Wildcats finished right outside the top twenty-five in the NAIA, with a record of 23-10, 12-6 in SSAC play and made an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. In his last season, Coach Clay led the Wildcats to an 18-12, 10-8 SSAC record. He finished his senior season averaging 11.7 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game, while shooting 43.0% from the 3pt line. His 3pt percentage was good enough for 2nd in the SSAC and 25th in the NAIA. Both years at Bethel University he was named to the SSAC All Academic Teams.
