Taylor Manuel - Assistant Coach

Taylor Manuel had been named an assistant coach for the Saints prior to the start of the 2020-21 season. Manuel, a St. Louis native, comes to Maryville after serving as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Incarnate Word Academy.

Manuel helped the Red Knights to the No. 1 ranking in the state of Missouri and post a 27-4 record in 2019-20. She also worked as a Basketball Skills Trainer for the Knights Basketball Academy and developed basketball skills training sessions for private clients.

A 2016 graduate of Loyola University Chicago, Manuel was the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2015. She averaged 15.2 points and 7.8 rebounds a game for the Ramblers. Manuel shot 56.5 percent from the field and added 94 assists, 51 blocks and 31 steals. In her final season at Loyola, she was a first-team All-MVC selection after ranking seventh in the Valley in scoring at 15.2 ppg. Manuel played as a graduate transfer at Mississippi, recording 9.6 points and 4.3 rebounds over 29 games.

At Incarnate Word, Manuel was named 2012 Miss Show-Me Basketball in Missouri. The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association selected her the Player of the Year, and she was the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Metro Player of the Year. As a senior, she averaged 15.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.9 blocks. Manuel recorded a quadruple-double during her final campaign as a Red Knight. She began her collegiate playing career at Purdue and was a Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection.

Manuel played professionally for three seasons with stints for Bnei Yehuda in Israel, Canik Belediyesi in Turkey, and Montana 2003 in Bulgaria.
