Lewis University Head Softball Coach Becky Pearl announced Taylor Young as a graduate assistant coach for the next two seasons.

Young played eight years of travel softball with the Bulls and Sox Academy, four years with the Beverly Bandits.

Young spent her prep career at Providence Catholic, where she was a two-time ISA All-State Selection, two-time all-conference selection and two-time all-area selection. After high school, Young played at NCAA Division I DePaul University where she was a sports communication major with a concentration in Journalism and a Minor in Coaching.

During her time with the Blue Demons, Young helped lead the team to a Big East Regular Season Championship in 2021 and won the Big East Conference Tournament in 2019.

Young was a volunteer coach at Oak Prairie Junior High School for four years from August 2015-October 2018, an assistant coach at White Sox Elite Softball Program for 2 years from June 2018-August 2020 and an assistant coach for the Chicago BatBusters from September 2020-August 2021.

Young is currently studying to get her master’s degree in Business Administration.
