Tim Guido

Tim Guido 150x150

Tim Guido is an experienced coach who has had a passion for the game since he was a kid. Tim graduated from CMSV in the class of 2020, and played his four years at CMSV where he was a leader on and off the field.

Guido was named captain his sophomore year and was the men's soccer representative for S.A.A.C. Not only does Tim coach soccer but he is also a strength coach at the top private training facility in the tri-state area. He not only brings years of experience coaching but also brings a unique aspect of knowledge about CMSV, being a recent graduate.

In Tim’s junior year of high school, he made history. They became the first team from Pelham Memorial High School to not only win the New York State Section 1 title but also make the state final four. Tim was an instant success at CMSV. After four games his freshman year, he won the starting right back role and didn't give it up until he graduated. In his sophomore and junior season he was named to the second team All-Conference, along with All-Sportsmanship selection. In Tim’s senior season he was named first team All-Conference.

One of Tim's biggest achievements did not happen on the field but rather off. In his sophomore season he emerged as natural leader on the team and was named captain. Tim not only led the team on the field but off it as well. He was the voice of the team whenever they needed him. In his sophomore season he was asked to help bring back S.A.A.C (Student Athletic Advisory Committee). In his senior year he served on the E Board for S.A.A.C.

Upon graduating CMSV Tim had a stint with Lansdown Yonkers F.C., helping them continue their semi-professional domination of the area with many cup runs and numerous league titles.

Tim's first coaching job came from his old club that he grew up playing with, Lansdown Yonkers F.C. He was first given a U8 team to coach, the next season he was also given a U10 team. Tim currently still coaches his U10, now U13. His U13 team has won back to back Lansdown Yonkers F.C. “Team Of The Year” for their success in their league and in EDP. He then became the JV head coach and assistant varsity coach at his old high school, Pelham Memorial High School in Pelham, New York. The following year he was able to move along in his coaching career and land a varsity coaching job at Archbishop Stepinac in White Plains, New York. Archbishop Stepinac is an all-boys catholic school that competes in the CHSAA (Catholic High School Athletic Association). Time was able to lead them to the CHSAA soccer playoff final for the first time in 27 years.

Tim’s coaching career is not only limited to the soccer field, as he is also a very successful strength coach. Tim works at Transform Fitness and Recovery located in Tuckahoe, New York. He has now worked with many professional athletes along with some of the best college/high school athletes in the area. Tim’s top two certifications are CFSC (Certified Functional Strength Coach) and FRC mobility specialist (Functional Range Conditioning).

“Tim is a valuable member of the program. He is engrained in the CMSV legacy and brings a wealth of knowledge of what it means to be a CMSV student-athlete. With his alumni connections, his deep knowledge in sports performance as well as his leadership attributes, he proves invaluable to our program. We welcome Tim back home.”
