Coach Barnes played baseball at Vidalia High School 2004-2008
- Alabama Southern incoming player of the year.
- Arkansas Monticello, where he played from 2010-2012 under Carlos James (University of Pine Bluff head coach) and Matt MacMillion (1st base/infield coach at the University of Mississippi) where he was was named “All Conference” as a junior.
- 2013 to LSUA/ all conference 1st baseman
- 2014-2016 Head Baseball Coach at University Academy of Cenla
