Tyler Brown
Director
Tyler Brown is the boys basketball head coach, entering his third season in that role and fifth overall with the program. A former college basketball player and coach, Tyler brings over a decade of experience at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Throughout his career, Tyler has contributed to the development of:
- 12 NCAA All-Conference selections
- 6 NCAA All-Academic honorees
- 1 NCAA All-American
Over 20 players have gone on to play professionally, including two in the NBA.
His coaching journey includes stops at California State Monterey Bay, San Francisco State, and California State Fullerton, where he played a key role in player development and program success. Tyler has also served as a director and coach for multiple AAU basketball programs, helping to shape and mentor young athletes on and off the court.
At the high school level, Tyler has helped guide Stevenson to four straight playoff appearances, including a standout 20–8 season, a CCS Division 5 runner-up finish, and a berth in the CIF NorCal Tournament. Tyler has led the team to back-to-back playoff appearances in his first two seasons at the helm. He has also coached multiple First and Second Team All-League and All-County selections during his tenure.
Tyler is passionate about building strong team cultures, developing complete student-athletes, and fostering a love for the game through integrity, hard work and leadership. He currently serves as the dean of students on Stevenson’s Carmel campus and lives on campus as a dorm faculty member on the Pebble Beach campus.
