Wasif Elahi
Coach - Seattle Celtic 2012
Wasif Raza Elahi has been involved in soccer as both a player and a coach for almost two decades now. He grew up in Pakistan where he played both high school and college soccer. His college team was ranked top 5 in the country where he was tasked with leading the defense in the center-back position. The Lahore School first team had an impressive statistic of having 13 clean sheets in his senior season.
Wasif’s love for soccer brought him to the United States where he worked as a soccer coach in Boston at Viking Sports. Here he coached his players on building their defensive skills and overall technique to help them take their game to the next level. Seattle Celtic recruited Wasif to make the move over to the West coast where he currently works. Wasif’s Boys 2012 team at Seattle Celtic reached the quart-finals of the Cornucopia Cup this year after only having worked with Wasif since January 2023.
Wasif is excited to bring his love, passion and experience to the Academy campers and to help them improve their skills and gain some momentum heading into the club season starting at the end of August.
