Will was a unanimous Associated Press first-team all-American at linebacker. As a sophomore, Will led the entire nation with 17.5 sacks. Anderson also led the nation in tackles for loss with 34.5. Will Anderson was unanimously voted first-team all-SEC. As a freshman, Will was selected as the “Shaun Alexander Freshman of the year” as the nation's best freshman football player.
