Yahaya started playing soccer in Nigeria over 20 years ago before moving to the United States. His experiences include Youth travel soccer, New York State Olympic Development Program, Long Island Select, Division 1 soccer, and a 7 years professional soccer career.
As a coach, Yahaya loves to work with youth teams and individuals from U7 to the collegiate level. Through the span of his 16-year coaching career, Yahaya has coached for several clubs on Long Island including Stony Brook and Massapequa. For the past 6 years, Yahaya has found a home with Gold Coast Academy and is based in Jericho.
Yahaya is also a Yoga teacher and Yoga Studio owner at Samudra Yoga in Garden City, New York.
