Zach is a two-time national team member. He competed in the 2013 and 2015 World University Games in the mens eight and the single respectively. He began rowing in 2006 at North Allegheny High School. Previously Zach served as the head coach for Pine Richland high school and an assistant coach for Pittsburgh Rowing Club. He is currently completing his degree in psychology at the University of Pittsburgh while competing on their rowing team.
