Zack Test
Academy Director
Zack Test serves as Academy Director and Backs Coach for San Diego Legion and will assist in leading the Nike Legion Rugby Camps in San Diego.
Zack started his rugby career at High School in the Bay Area. After taking his team to a California state title, Zack switched his focused to his grassroots game of Football. He accepted the offer from University of Oregon Football program. After redshirting his freshmen year, Zack got the rugby itch again after playing in the U20 world cup in Wales. He attended Loughborough University in England on a rugby scholarship. Test begin his sevens career for the USA at age 18. Played in a 7’s world cup, 15’s world cup and was apart of the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics Team USA rugby team. Currently, the leading try scorer in USA 7’s history and the leading appearances in history. Test’s career came to a screeching hult when he endurered a serious brain injury during a test match against Uruguay. He has since fully recovered and began his coaching career with HS So Cal Griffins, the 2017 Gold Medal winning Maccabiah rugby team and head coach of the SDSU’s 7’s team.
