Zayn Khan
Assistant Coach
Zayn Khan is in his fourth year as an assistant coach with the Linfield women’s soccer team.
Born in Portland, Oregon, Khan grew up in Aloha, Oregon, and graduated from Aloha High School in 2013.
He also currently works at the Portland City United Soccer Club. Starting out as an assistant coach in 2018, Khan was promoted to head coach of the Under-11 and Under-15 boys teams. He is also the Director of Summer and Technical Camps at PCU.
Khan got his degree in kinesiology at Oregon State in 2017. While at Oregon State, Khan was a varsity assistant coach at Crescent Valley High School.
He worked with Linfield women’s soccer head coach Steve Simmons in Corvallis as the Director of Soccer Operations during the 2017 season, while Simmons was the head coach of the Beavers’ men’s soccer program.
After graduating from Oregon State, Khan stayed in Corvallis and worked at the Corvallis Soccer Club as the Under-14 boys team head coach.
He moved back home to Portland, working at the Portland Timbers Regional Training Center as the Under-10 boys team coach. He has also worked as the JV head coach and varsity assistant at St. Mary’s Academy.
Khan holds a Class C USSF coaching license.
