We’re thrilled to bring the first-ever Nike Football Camp to the Rockford community! Join us at the Clarence Hicks Sports Complex, a premier outdoor stadium featuring brand-new artificial turf, for an exciting three-day football development experience.
Directed by Joel Beard, one of the top-rated Nike Football Camp Directors and a coach at College of DuPage (5 consecutive NJCAA National Championships), this camp delivers high-level instruction in a fun, supportive environment. Designed for co-ed athletes and ideal for beginner and intermediate players, this day camp runs June 29 – July 1 from 9:00am–3:00pm.
Campers will develop their skills through a progressive curriculum focused on:
• Offensive & defensive fundamentals
• Position-specific technique and footwork
• Athletic movement and football IQ
• Competition-based drills and gameplay
• Leadership, confidence, and character development

Director Joel Beard
Joel Beard spent his first season on the COD staff in 2024. He has nine seasons of college coaching experience at UW Stout, Minnesota State-Moorhead, Southeast Missouri, and Missouri Western State.

Head Coach Matthew Rahn
In two seasons as Chaparrals head football coach, two-time NJCAA Coach of the Year Matthew Rahn has delivered COD to the top of the NJCAA.

Associate Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator Trevor Cipriano
Trevor Cipriano begins his eighth season with the Chaparrals in 2023 and serves as an associate head coach. He is the program's defensive coordinator and defensive line coach. He has coached wide receivers, tight ends and H-backs since coming on board in 2015.

Camp Details
Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, team play, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

- Age Group: 8-14 (grouped by age and experience on site)

- Day Schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 9:00am-3:00pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to camp start time
- Lunch: Lunch will not be provided. Bring your own lunch/snack to camp each day.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
- Camper Ability Level(s) (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced): Beginner and Intermediate
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
