at Nike Football Skills Camps

This Nike Football Skills Development Camp is designed for football players looking to improve their game this summer. All camp activities take place at Akron East High School. Directing the camp is Doran Grant. Coach Grant is former collegiate player at Ohio State and was drafted in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft.

Instruction will include offensive and defensive position drills, athletic development, and there will be fun football gameplay and competitions throughout camp. Join us this summer to learn, have fun, make new friends, and become a better player.

    Camp Director

    Doran Grant is a former American football cornerback known for his standout career at Ohio State University, where he played from 2011 to 2014. Born on November 30th 1992, in Akron, Ohio, Grant attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, the same school that produced NBA superstar LeBron James.

    At Ohio State, Grant quickly became a key player in the Buckeyes' defense. He played under head coach Urban Meyer and defensive coordinator Luke Fickell, contributing significantly to the team's success. Grant's notable performances included crucial interceptions and solid coverage skills, earning him recognition in the Big Ten Conference. In the 2015 NFL Draft, Doran Grant was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round, showcasing his potential at the professional level. Throughout his NFL career, he also spent time with the Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants. Grant's athleticism and defensive prowess continued to be his hallmark, reflecting his dedication to the game and his ability to compete at the highest level. Beyond football, Grant has been involved in community initiatives and youth mentorship, demonstrating leadership both on and off the field. His journey from high school standout to collegiate star to professional athlete underscores his resilience and commitment to excellence in sports.

Camp Details

Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, team play, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

  • Dates: July 6-8, 2026
  • Age Group: 8-18

  • Schedule: Monday-Wednesday | 9:00am-2:00pm
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to camp start time
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Daily Football Instruction
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Nike Football Camp T-Shirt and potentially other prizes!

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
  • Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

  • Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
