Become a more sound and fundamental player at Nike Football Skills Development Winter Camp Arizona Christian University in Glendale, AZ. This is a great opportunity this winter to fine tune your skills and train during the off-season. Jeff Bowen and their coaching staff are going to teach campers the football skills required to play at the next level and maximize their potential on the field. This camp will teach you how to properly approach the game as the campers will take part in footwork, offensive and defensive skills, individual positions, team plays, and game situations, and will even implement what it takes to become strong mentally on the field.

Camp Director Brett Nelson
The 2023 season is the fourth for Brett Nelson as the ACU Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach. He refers to the offensive linemen as “The Crew”. Coach Nelson served as the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance for two years at Arizona Christian University before returning to coaching.

Head Coach Jeff Bowen
Arizona Christian Football and Head Coach Jeff Bowen celebrate ten years in 2023. After starting from the beginning in 2014, Coach Bowen is on year eight as the head coach. The Firestorm are 53-20 with three conference titles and two appearances in the NAIA Football Championship Series under Bowen. Coach Bowen was selected as the 2021 NAIA Coach of Character Award winner.

Assistant Coach Todd Williamson
"Coach Will" is entering his sixth season with the Firestorm where he coaches the linebackers and is the Assistant Defensive Coordinator.Coach Williamson has been coaching for the last 20 years. He has been the head coach at multiple high schools here in the Valley, and before coming to ACU, he was the Defensive Coordinator at Phoenix College.

Camp Details
Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, team play, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2024 WINTER CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: December 26-28, 2024
- Age Group: 8-13
- Gender: Co-Ed
- Camp Type: Day
- Schedule: Thursday-Saturday, 8am – 1pm
- Check-In: 30 minutes prior to camp start time
- Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch and a water bottle to camp each day. Water will be available throughout camp.
Please note: Drop off will occur on the first day for gear in the Barrett Building located on the North section of campus. We will have posted signs directing people when they enter off of Greenway. Drop off will be at the main tent off the edge of the field. I do not see where this is located on the website though. Address is 1 W. Firestorm Way. After the first day, check in and check out will be on the field at the main tent.

- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Outdoor field in the morning with indoor facility available for inclement weather/heat. Film study, chalk talk, speakers and football IQ sessions will be held indoors

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
