Sharpen your fundamentals and elevate your game this winter at the Nike Football Skills Development Camp held at Arizona Christian University in Glendale, AZ. This off-season camp offers a valuable chance to develop your technique and improve your performance in a focused training environment. Led by Jeff Bowen and his experienced coaching staff, the camp is designed to help athletes grow into more complete football players. Campers will work on key aspects of the game, including footwork, offensive and defensive skills, position-specific drills, and team strategies.

Camp Director Brett Nelson
The 2023 season is the fourth for Brett Nelson as the ACU Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach. He refers to the offensive linemen as “The Crew”. Coach Nelson served as the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance for two years at Arizona Christian University before returning to coaching.

Head Coach Jeff Bowen
Arizona Christian Football and Head Coach Jeff Bowen celebrate ten years in 2023. After starting from the beginning in 2014, Coach Bowen is on year eight as the head coach. The Firestorm are 53-20 with three conference titles and two appearances in the NAIA Football Championship Series under Bowen. Coach Bowen was selected as the 2021 NAIA Coach of Character Award winner.

Assistant Coach Todd Williamson
"Coach Will" is entering his sixth season with the Firestorm where he coaches the linebackers and is the Assistant Defensive Coordinator.Coach Williamson has been coaching for the last 20 years. He has been the head coach at multiple high schools here in the Valley, and before coming to ACU, he was the Defensive Coordinator at Phoenix College.

Camp Details
Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, and team play. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2025 WINTER CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: December 29-30, 2025
- Age Group: 8-13
- Gender: Co-Ed
- Schedule: Monday-Tuesday, 8:00am-1:00pm
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Check-In: 30 minutes prior to camp start time
- Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch and a water bottle to camp each day. Water will be available throughout camp.
Please note: Drop off and pick up will occur at the main football field located on the southwest corner of campus. Address is 1 W. Firestorm Way

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Outdoor field in the morning with indoor facility available for inclement weather/heat.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
