Nike Football Skills Camps
Join us this summer at Hillsboro Stadium in Portland, OR — home of Portland State University’s football and soccer programs — for an exciting four-day Nike Football Skills Camp designed to help young athletes elevate their game in a fun and competitive environment.
Led by Jaleel Kindell, one of the top Nike Football Camp directors in the Pacific Northwest, this camp brings together an elite coaching staff featuring current and former players from the University of Oregon, Oregon State, and Portland State. Coach Kindell is a member of the University of Oregon football staff and is also directing Nike Football Camps at the University of Oregon and Oregon State in 2026, bringing a wealth of expertise and high-level training experience to Portland.
This co-ed, non-contact football skills development camp is open to athletes ages 7–13 and is ideal for beginner and intermediate players eager to improve their fundamentals, build confidence, and learn the game from Division I coaches and athletes. Campers will be grouped by age and ability to ensure a positive and safe training atmosphere for all participants.
Throughout the week, campers will take part in:
- Position-specific fundamentals
- Skill-building drills
- Fun games and competitions
- 7-on-7 style gameplay
- Age-appropriate instruction emphasizing technique, teamwork, and football IQ

Jaleel Kindell is an offensive assistant for the Oregon Ducks Football team, working closely with the running backs. He began his coaching career at the high school level before moving to the college ranks, coaching running backs and serving as a defensive assistant at Willamette University.

- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:30am-1:30pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
- Camper Ability Level(s) (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced): Beginner and Intermediate
- Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
- Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.

Sample Daily Schedule
- 9:30 am Drop off / check-in begins
- 9:45 am Warm Up and Stretch
- 10:00am Goal Setting + Football IQ
- 10:30 am Practice begins (Station rotation through offensive or defensive positions, players will learn and rotate through all drills)
- 11:00 am Speed Agility and Quickness Circuit
- 12:00 pm Lunch
- 12:30pm Skills Instruction - Campers select position specific drills (QB, RB, WR, OL/DL, LB, DB)
- 1:00 pm Competition Fun and Games
- 1:30 pm On field activities conclude and prepare for camper pick-up.
- 2 pm All campers picked up
