Join us at the Nike Football Skills Development Camp at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, MI, where athletes get hands-on training from some of the best football coaches in the region. Under the expert leadership of Jonas Jackson, a seasoned coach with a passion for development, players will receive top-tier guidance in both technique and sportsmanship. This camp provides an ideal mix of skill refinement and fun football challenges, helping athletes boost their confidence, build lasting friendships, and take their game to the next level.

    Camp Director

    Jackson, joined the Panthers football coaching staff in July of 2022 where he serves as the Defensive Line Coach. Prior to PVAMU coach Jackson was on the staff at Delaware State.He most recently served as defensive line coach at NCAA Div. III (Albany State (Ga.) in 2019. In 2018 and ’19, Jackson was an assistant at Your Call Football, an interactive competition in which participants call plays in real time for a series of live exhibition American football games with players, some of whom have played in the NFL or CFL. The participants watch the game via live streaming media and use a smartphone app to select the plays.

    From 2013 to ’18, he was an assistant coach/coordinator at Savannah State (Ga.) while the Tigers were NCAA Div. I FCS and a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

    Jackson made history as the first African-American head coach at a majority institution in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while at West Virginia Wesleyan from 2009 to ’12.

    He also served as head coach for the Elancourt Templiers of the European Pro League in 2005.

    Jackson coaching resume’ also includes stints as an assistant at Illinois State (2008), La Salle (2006-07), Temple (2005-06; grad extern) and Arizona Western (2000-04).

    During his career, Jackson has coached a total of 28 all-conference players, eight All-Americas, five all-region honorees and one player-of-the-year.

    In addition, he has led units to a No. 2 national ranking in total defense (2019 Albany State), No. 2 national ranking in passing yards allowed (2019 Albany State), No. 1 conference ranking in scoring defense (2019 Albany State) and No. 1 ranking in total defense (2010 WVW; 2019 Albany State).

    Jackson’s 2009 and 2019 West Virginia Wesleyan teams also earned American Football Coaches Association national rankings.

    A former standout player at Eastern Michigan, he was awarded a bachelor’s from EMU in 2002 and a master’s from Valparaiso in 2004.

    Coach Mack was named Ann Arbor Huron HS head football coach May 3, 2019. Mack brings nearly ten years of coaching experience to Ann Arbor Huron HS.

    During Coach Mack High school coaching experience, Coach Mack has had an opportunity to coach 7 MHSAA All State players, 27 All-Conference players and 5 All-Region players. As a college position coach Mack mentored 2 All-American Linebackers and 7 All-Conference performers.

    Mack was a two year junior college standout at Grand Raids Community where he received Pre-Season All-American and All Conference honors. Mack moved on to Minnesota State Mankato. Mack would finish college football career at Avila University. Mack signed a professional indoor football contract with CIFL Muskegon Thunder.

    Mack was awarded his BA from Liberty University.

Camp Details

Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, specific positions, team play, and game situations.

  • Age Groups: 6-18
  • Camp Type: Day Camp
  • Schedule: Saturday-Sunday, 9:00am-12:00pm (ages 6-12 only) | Saturday-Sunday. 2:00pm-5:00pm (ages 13-18 only)
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a healthy snack to camp each day.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Daily Football Instruction
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Nike Football Camp T-Shirt, Cinch Sack, Wristband, Sticker, and potentially other prizes!

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
  • Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork
  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

  • Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
