Learn how to play the game the right way at our Nike Football Skills Development Camp Steel Sports in Johnstown, CO. Nike Football Camps has the intention to provide campers with some of the best training in the area. Director Jacob Knipp and the coaching staff will teach fundamental football skills, proper football techniques and the importance of self-discipline and teamwork. Campers will work on speed, agility, strength and position-specific skills that help them reach their full potential.
With both offense and defense sessions offered we welcome athletes of all abilities to this camp as the coaches will work tirelessly to make sure campers are hitting their goals for the week. Campers will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, individual positions, team plays, and game situations. This camp offers a great opportunity for any young athlete looking to improve their game, have fun, make new friends, and raise their confidence. Director Jacob Knipp
Jacob was born and raised in Arvada, CO. He was a five-year starting quarterback at the University of Northern Colorado. He holds every freshman quarterback record at UNC and is top 5 in every category of all time. He was also a 5-time team captain which is the standing NCAA record. Post college, Jacob spent one year with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL.

Camp Details
Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, specific positions, team play, and game situations.
Please note: The following information may be subject to change
2024 CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: July 15-19, 2024 | July 22-26, 2024 | July 29-August 2, 2024
- Age Group: 7-14
- Camp Type: Half Day | Day
- Offensive Session Schedule (QB, RB, WR, TE): 9:00am-12:00pm
- Defensive Session Schedule (Edge, LB, DB): 1:00pm-4:00pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. For those staying for both sessions, bring your own lunch and plan to eat in the facility from 12pm-1pm.
Please note: This camp will not include offensive or defensive linemen training. It will cover the positions listed above: Defense - Edge, LB, DB and Offense - QB, RB, WR, TE.
If a camper would like to attend both the offensive session in the morning and the defensive session in the afternoon, they will receive a $50 discount for the total price.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
- Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
- Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Indoor turf facility.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
