Nike Flag Football Camps at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, CA is thrilled to be returning this summer. Camp Director, Jon Ellinghouse, invites young athletes of all levels to join the fun and take their game to the next level.

Our experienced staff members will help each athlete learn the fundamentals while assisting them in developing their skills using proper techniques and executing drills the right way. A great opportunity for any young athlete looking to improve their game, have fun, make new friends, and raise their confidence. Your players will walk away with lessons that can be utilized on and off the field.

    Jon Ellinghouse is entering his 18th season as the Head Coach of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers football team. In his time at Sierra Canyon, he has taken our program from an 8-man football program to a team ranked in the top 10 in the nation during his tenure.

    He has won 2 State Championships and 6 CIF Championships. In his 17 seasons at Sierra Canyon Ellinghouse is averaging over 10 wins a season, with an overall record of 170-38 as the head coach at Sierra Canyon. The Sierra Canyon football team has appeared in the CIF Semi-Finals or better in 11 of the last 13 seasons under his leadership (4 state championship appearances).     “I believe I have the best staff in Southern California, I am fortunate to have guys who are the best at what they do and do it for the right reasons. I just love watching these guys develop our athletes at a high level.”

    Ellinghouse is most proud of his ability to develop players into college football players and place them at the highest level. Coach Ellinghouse says “My favorite part of my job is getting kids to college. We have had incredible success doing so, I will put our list against anyone’s.” Sierra Canyon Football has had former players attend USC (4), UCLA (4), Stanford (2), Michigan, Oklahoma, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, CAL (2), Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Utah, Colorado, Columbia, Princeton, Penn, Yale, Brown, Harvard, Army, Navy, Colorado State (2), San Jose St, Nevada (2), Fresno State, New Mexico, UNLV, Louisiana Lafayette, Illinois, Maryland, TCU, Virginia Tech, Central Michigan, Tulsa, FIU, Montana State, Sacramento State, Southern Utah, UC Davis, Villanova, Lafayette (2), San Diego (3), Wagner, Adams State, Elmhurst, Washington St. Louis, Colorado St Pueblo, Houston Christian, Central Missouri University, Nebraska Kearney, Wesleyan, Augustana, California Lutheran (4).

    Nobody knows Sierra Canyon better than coach Ellinghouse. He states “what I love about Sierra Canyon is that we allow kids to achieve their individual greatness. Sierra Canyon is an incredible environment, that produces happy successful kids on the field and in the classroom. We get great kids and make them even better. Sierra Canyon is an incredibly diverse place, with a unique and unbelievable vibe. I am so proud of the program and school we have become.”

Camp Details

Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, specific positions, team play, and game situations.

2026 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

  • Dates: June 15-18, 2026 | July 20-23, 2026
  • Age Group: 6-15 (Incoming 1st Grade – Incoming 8th Grade)
  • Camp Type: Day Camp (9am-3pm) | Half Day Camp (9am-12pm)
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time. Drop off daily will be at the field parking lot, the address to the field is 11047 De Soto Ave, Chatsworth CA 91311.
  • Check-Out: Pick-up will be at the field parking lot, the address to the field is 11047 De Soto Ave, Chatsworth CA 91311.
  • Meals: Campers may bring a packed lunch each day OR lunch will be available to purchase.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Daily Football Instruction
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Nike Football Camp T-Shirt and potentially other prizes! (Summer Session)

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.

  • Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.

Sierra Canyon is the proud home of some of the finest Athletic Facilities amongst any local, state or national high school. In just ten years, the school has built a Basketball and Volleyball Center, a Football/Lacrosse and Soccer Complex and MJ Siegel Baseball Stadium.
