BREAK THROUGH FEARS & MENTAL BLOCKS AT NIKE GYMNASTICS CAMPS

Prepare for a weekend of powerful breakthroughs with Nike Gymnastics Camp at Redwood Empire Gymnastics hosted by Complete Performance Coaching! We’ll tackle fears and mental blocks head-on, empowering gymnasts to reach their fullest potential.

Led by Rebecca Smith and her team of world-class mental and physical coaches, our staff is specially trained to help gymnasts overcome fear, build lasting confidence, and unlock their true abilities. Our mission is to foster healthy athlete-coach communication, inspire consistent progress, and create an environment where gymnasts can support one another. This camp is more than just training—it’s an opportunity for growth, empowerment, and a sense of camaraderie in a nurturing, inspiring environment.

One moment, they’re winning competitions; the next, they freeze on skills they’ve mastered—skills they should be executing with ease. Rebecca & The Complete Performance Coaching team have spent over 10 years perfecting a method designed to help gymnasts make peace with their fears, transform anxiety into confidence, and maintain that newfound confidence long after they leave the gym.

    Rebecca Smith, MA

    Camp Director - Complete Performance Coaching

    Rebecca is the founder of Complete Performance Coaching & The PerformHappy Mental Block Breakthrough Method. She's a former fearful gymnast and gymnastics coach. She specializes in helping young gymnasts overcome fear and build lasting confidence.

    Suzanne Pottratz, PhD, CMPC

    Camp Staff

    Dr. Suzanne has helped hundreds of gymnasts work through mental blocks. She believes that mental skills training is an essential component of sport in developing the mindset to help athletes reach their goals and find success in the gym and beyond.

  • Briley Casanova

    Briley Casanova, M.S., CMPC

    Camp Staff

    Briley is a former Team Captain of the University of Michigan women’s gymnastics team and two-time USA Gymnastics National Team member. Her competitive spirit and love for gymnastics inspire her to share her experience of performing at a high level with others.

CAMP PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • Skill Levels: 3-10 & Xcel Silver-Sapphire
  • Camp Participant Max: 80

INSTRUCTION & GROUP PLACEMENT

At our camp, we ensure every athlete receives personalized attention in a high-level training environment.

  • 6:1 Coach-to-Athlete Ratio: With a maximum of six athletes per coach, each athlete gets individualized guidance.
  • Specialized Coaching: Each event features both a mental coach and a physical coach, addressing all aspects of development.
  • Group Structure: Athletes are grouped by skill level and age, with rotations designed to focus on goal skills and overcoming fear.
  • High-Level Training Groups: We offer at least one elite group at each camp, accommodating athletes up to 18 years old, including Level 9-10 gymnasts.
  • World-Class Coaches: Our experienced coaches are ready to provide training at the highest level.

DAILY CAMP SCHEDULE

Day 1
  • 11:30am - Campers arrive and check-in
  • 12:00pm - Mental training, parent workshop + group activities led by CPC mental coaches
  • 1:00pm - Physical coaches lead fun warm-up + stretch
  • 1:30pm - Rotation 1
  • 2:15pm - Rotation 2
  • 3:00pm - Snack Break
  • 3:30pm -Rotation 3
  • 4:15pm - Rotation 4
  • 5:00pm - Open Workout
  • 5:30pm - Wrap-up led by CGC mental coaches
  • 6:00 - Day 1 ends
Day 2
  • 8:30am - Campers arrive and sign in
  • 9:00am - Mental training + group activities led by CPC mental coaches
  • 10:00am - Physical coaches lead fun warm-up + stretch
  • 10:30am - Rotation 1
  • 11:15pm - Rotation 2
  • 12:00pm - Lunch Break
  • 12:30pm - Rotation 3
  • 1:15pm - Rotation 4
  • 2:00pm - Open Workout
  • 2:30pm - Final Wrap-up led by CPC mental coaches
  • 3:00pm - Camp ends

MEALS

  • Lunch will be provided each day and is included in the camp tuition cost - please ensure campers come prepared with their own water bottle and any additional snacks they might need.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • If you need to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for the tuition fees paid, valid for one year for any sport and transferable to any immediate family member. Please note that participants who do not attend their registered session (no-shows) or fail to notify USSC at least 24 hours prior to check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.
  • Refunds are available only if the Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your payment due date (1st of the month prior to your camp start date).

ACCOMMODATIONS & TRAVEL

  • This is a Day Camp only; housing is NOT included in the camp tuition. Campers are responsible for arranging their own overnight accommodations if needed.
  • Nike Gymnastics Camp does not provide any transportation to/from camp from the airport, train stations, or bus depots.
  • US Sports Camps, the Camp Director, camp staff, and the host facility are not liable for any travel-related arrangements, including but not limited to flights, hotels, Airbnbs, or rental cars.
  • We recommend booking refundable or flexible travel and accommodation options in case of any changes to the camp schedule.

Below is a suggested list of items that campers can bring with them to camp. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Gymnastics leotard or athletic clothing
