Camp Director Michael Hodge
Michael Hodge is the head women's lacrosse coach at Carroll University.View Michael Hodge's Bio ⟩
In February of 2014, Carroll University tabbed Michael Hodge as its first-ever head women’s lacrosse coach. In just four short seasons, Coach Hodge has built the program into a league contender, recording an impressive 13-4 record in 2018.
Following a three-year playing career at Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana, Hodge jumped right into his coaching career after being named head coach at his alma mater in 2008.
Hodge remained as the head men's lacrosse coach at Holy Cross from 2008-2012 then decided to broaden his coaching horizons. He moved east and became the assistant women's lacrosse coach at the State University of New York in Canton, New York, a position he held for two years before being offered the Carroll job.
Hodge earned a liberal arts degree from Holy Cross in May of 2008 then went on to obtain his master's degree in sports administration from Valparaiso University in December of 2011.
Assistant Camp Director Madeline Berg

Berg played collegiately for one season at Indian Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne, Ind., where she was the team’s starting goalie. She transferred from the NCAA Division II institution following her freshman campaign and spent the next three years as the president and goalie for the women’s club lacrosse team at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from UW-La Crosse in December of 2015 in Middle Childhood to Early Adolescence Education while minoring in English.
Since June of 2011, Berg has spent time locally working as a summer high school lacrosse coach for Cool Stick Wisconsin in Hartland.
Berg starred as a prep at Hartland Arrowhead High School. She was a two-time defensive Most Valuable Player for the Arrowhead girls lacrosse team while also earning All-Conference honors as a senior with a 53% save average.
The Carroll women’s lacrosse team begins its second season of existence in 2016. The Pioneers compete in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
Our goal, at Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Camps, is to bring out the very best in every player we coach. We focus our energies on building self-confidence and improving skills through innovative drills, position training, small-sided games, and team driven competition. We encourage our campers to play hard, be creative, and have fun! At the end of the week, our campers leave with a higher lacrosse IQ, an enhanced skill set, new role models, new friends, and a true love of the game.
