NBC Camps Director Wins National College Basketball Championship
NBC Basketball Camps is proud to announce camp director and former camper Rhett Soliday has won the NAIA National Basketball Championship on Monday., March 24, 2014. Soliday is the coach for Vanguard University in Cosa Mesa, California. Vanguard won its first ever title 70 -65 against Emmanuel College from Franklin Springs, Georgia.
Coach Soliday will conduct summer basketball camps from beginner to advanced this summer through NBC Basketball Camps at Vanguard this summer. Rhett grew up in Washington State where he attended NBC Basketball Camps in high school. He says about his NBC experience, "Choosing to attend NBC Camps was perhaps the single most important decision I made as a young student in molding my future. As a camper, I was challenged to discover that I could push myself much further than I ever thought possible. I was fortunate enough to earn a full scholarship to play college basketball, and it was because of the foundation I gained at NBC."
Also, former NBC Basketball Camper Preston Wynne was selected MVP and is the first Native American to ever be selected as MVP in the history of the National Tournament.
