NBC Camps opens Fall Basketball Clinics
NBC Camps is preparing athletes for the upcoming basketball season with a series of clinics designed to get athletes ready to play their best. Basketball is about to start and now is the time athletes are getting their game polished for the first day of practice. NBC Basketball Clinic director Shawn Stetson says, "NBC Basketball clinics focus on one day changes giving athletes pointers on better shooting, passing, defending and offensive moves so they can have a plan on what to work on individually. We also want to create an atmosphere of encouragement. Self-confidence is a huge need for anyone trying out for a basketball team. With athletes facing more competition, we want to help each person find the courage to compete to his or her highest potential. Nothing is worse then walking into practice a little off your game and finding you have been type-cast for the rest of the season. We want to give athletes that extra advantage and the confidence to play without fear."
Combining the physical and mental aspects of game preparation is one way NBC Camps works to train players to be stronger and more mentally tough. One parent whose son attended last year reported, "I was very impressed with the clinic and cannot say enough nice things about your program. I love the talks and how you relate the sport and what you do on the court to your life - taking the positive attitude and sportsmanship and applying to your life outside of the basketball court was fantastic, plus all of the great advice on being a better basketball player. Hands down the best program I have ever seen!"
NBC Camps will open clinics in Montana, Idaho, Alberta, Oregon and throughout the state of Washington. "We'll have close to 30 clinics between November and Christmas this year." says NBC Director John Fazio.
