Nike Basketball Camps Teams up with Seattle University Men’s Basketball for Summer 2019
Nike Basketball Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, the largest provider of sports camps in the world, has announced they are teaming up with Division I Seattle University Men’s Basketball to bring an all-boys basketball camp to the Seattle area.
"We are very excited to be partnering with US Sports Camps to bring two youth Seattle boys basketball camps to the greater Seattle area this summer,” says Michael Odland, Director of Basketball Operations for the Men’s Program at Seattle University. “We are all looking forward to a fun two weeks of camp."
This youth basketball camp will be directed by the Seattle University Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff as well as student athletes. Over the course of camp, athletes, ages 8-12, will work on refining their fundamental skill sets including position work, shooting, conditioning, and footwork. Campers will train in the state-of-the-art Redhawk Center, home to the men’s and women’s basketball programs at Seattle University.
“Summer 2019 is looking to be a great summer with the addition of the Nike Boys Basketball Camp at Seattle U,” says Brent Koonce, VP of Nike Basketball Camps. “We have been working with the womens basketball program since 2010, running sold out programs every summer and are looking forward to expand this with the mens program.”
These day camps will run 9am-3pm, Tuesday-Friday, and are geared towards boys of all skill levels. On the first day, the coaches will have an assessment period and from there they will be grouped according to age and ability level.
