Complete Field Player Development

At Alvernia, we are interested in maximizing a player’s potential and developing a complete player. Our sessions focus on fundamental and functional training, dynamic attacking, supporting play, decision-making, finishing, transition play, and defending. Competitive small-sided games and full field games will take place every night. Players learn a how to be a complete player, while having a lot of fun.

Clean Sheet Keeper Program

At Alvernia we have a tradition of training excellent goalkeepers. Goalkeepers are provided a balance of individual instruction, functional group training, and pressure situation training that ensures each goalkeeper receives professional attention. Our goal is to maximize his/her experience. Goalkeepers train as a group throughout the morning and afternoon, and join their assigned team in the evenings.

Teams are welcome!

A specialized team program is offered during either camp for teams interested in enhancing team chemistry and the team concept. Focus is on systems of play, combination play, possession with purpose, finishing, and leadership. They have the kids engaged and playing constantly!

My three girls loved camp and were begging for me to allow them to stay over next year because the kids had so much fun in the dorms! They allowed my girls to stay an extra hour one of the nights which made them so happy! The goalie training was an extra perk. It was great to see my one that is a goalie be able to work on her skills. Thank you for making this camp so much fun and keeping them engaged in playing the game.

    See you next year!

My son enjoyed learning new skills during the day and the World Cup scrimmage games at night. He's going to love showing off his new skills and sharing them with his teammates. The coaches made sure the kids had fun, learned new skills, and refined skills they already had.

I learned new tricks/skills and improved on my footwork!

Overall, my camp experience was great. Immediately when I got there, I felt welcomed. I got there a little early so the head coach, Casey, put my friend and I in a student study lounge to watch TV while they set up. All the coaches announced their names and welcomed us when we got down to the field. My friend and I started to talk to some of the other campers. The four days I was there went so quick with all the activities we did. We played soccer tennis, soccer golf, shooting drills, scrimmages, and so much more. We were given so much freedom with what we did in our free time between sessions. We ate lunch in the cafeteria and there were so many choices. I always felt safe! The last day of camp, we finished up with World Cup and awards were given out with evaluation cards for every player to see what you can improve on. I thought that was very beneficial to the campers like myself. I gave this camp a four star rating because like my coaches said, "there is always room for improvement."

    Coach Moore was Awesome!

Coach Moore was fantastic! He was very detailed oriented and the program very well thought out. My son had an great time and said after each evening, "I wish I would have stayed over." (we live close to the school so we picked him up each night). I came to the games from 6-8 and I can tell you that the players got worked hard, while they added in the proper amount of breaks. They were constantly on the move with very little 'down time.' Hate going to camps and see the kids standing around for 15 min.....that did not happen here. Definitely excited that this is a local option for us and we will be back next year, with friends, for sure!
