Join us for the Nike Speed Clinic at Lake Highland Prep. The renowned coaching staff of Olympic Champion Justin Gatlin, former Buckeye and US Team Member Joel Brown (Associate Head Coach, Sprints/Hurdles, Ohio State University), World Champion David Oliver (Director of T&F at Howard University), and former Bahamas National Team member Rodney Green provide world-class coaching on topics including training, drills and technique, plyometrics, motivation and goal setting, nutrition, and much more.

Hosted at Lake Highland Prep School in Orlando, FL, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the fastest athletes in track & field, to maximize your game-day speed, whether you're an individual and/or team sport athlete.

    Coach Joel Brown

    Former Buckeye and professional runner Joel Brown is in his fourth season the Associate Head Coach at The Ohio State University, where he works with the men’s and women’s sprinters and hurdlers and serves as one of the program’s recruiting coordinators.

    Olympic and World Champion Justin Gatlin has eight global championship 100m medals (three Olympic and five World Championship), making him the most decorated 100m sprinter of all time.

    Rodney Green is a former Professional track and field athlete for the Bahamas, having represented its national team on several occasions in international competition.

You can expect a high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

  • Check-in: 9:30 AM at the track
  • Meals: Campers should bring their own water/snacks

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to athlete ratio
  • Grouped by: age, ability and event
  • Evaluation: by coaching staff
  • Equipment Needed: Athletes should bring at least one pair of broken in running shoes. Event shoes/spikes are recommended but not required. Please be sure to properly mark your equipment, so that it can be easily identified. Please review the Information Packet for a detailed checklist of items to bring.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.


  • Extra Athletic clothing
  • 1-2 pairs of broken in running shoes/ event spikes
  • Non-running shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunblock
  • Small gym bag/backpack
  • Extra spending money (suggested $40)


Transportation is not provided. Athletes are responsible for getting to and from the clinic on their own. There is no supervision before or after clinic hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.


Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Camp Questions & Answers

Does the Health & Release Form need to be signed by a doctor?

Our Health & Release Form does not require a doctor’s signature. This form is required to be filled out accurately, and completed online prior to camp arrival.

Are meals provided?

Campers should bring their own water/drinks and snacks.

Are the campers supervised throughout the camp?

Yes, campers are supervised by the coaches and staff. All staff members complete criminal and sex offender background checks before working the camp.

Can I come to camp alone or do I have to be a member of a team?

We welcome individual campers and teams. It's a great place to meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for the sport and to have FUN!

They really dissected the kids runs and have them instruction on how to fix things. They made sure everyone had attention and gave them encouragement to be confident about themselves.
