Join us for the 2023 NIKE SPEED CLINIC at Olympia High School. The renowned coaching staff of Olympic Champion Justin Gatlin, former Buckeye and US Team Member Joel Brown (Associate Head Coach, Sprints/Hurdles, Ohio State University), World Champion David Oliver (Director of T&F at Howard University), and former Bahamas National Team member Rodney Green provide world-class coaching on topics including training, drills and technique, plyometrics, motivation and goal setting, nutrition, and much more.
Hosted at Olympia High School in Orlando, FL, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the fastest athletes in track & field, to maximize your game-day speed, whether you're an individual and/or team sport athlete.

Coach David Oliver
David Oliver is the Director of Track & Field at Howard University. A World Champion, Olympian, and Howard University alum, Coach Oliver has been leading the Howard University Bison Track & Field program since 2017.View David's Bio ⟩
Coach Oliver returned to Howard University in 2017 after being inducted into the 2014 Howard University Athletics Hall of Fame and the 2016 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Hall of Fame. Oliver recently led the Howard women to a 1st place finish and the men to a 2nd place finish at both the 2022 MEAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
As an athlete, Oliver was the 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist in the 110-meter hurdles, and the 2013 World Champion in the same event. On the indoor track and field stage, he earned the Gold medal in the 2008 USA Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles and bronze in the 2010 World Championships.
Coach Joel Brown
Former Buckeye and professional runner Joel Brown is in his fourth season the Associate Head Coach at The Ohio State University, where he works with the men’s and women’s sprinters and hurdlers and serves as one of the program’s recruiting coordinators.View Joel's Bio ⟩
A former professional runner for Adidas, Brown spent nine years ranked among the Top 15 athletes in the world in the 60-meter hurdles. As the U.S. indoor champion in the 60 hurdles in 2005, Brown placed sixth in the event at the 2005 World Championships. He is a two-time U.S. bronze medalist and was a member of a world-record shuttle hurdle relay at the 2008 Penn Relays with Aubrey Herring, David Oliver and Aries Merritt.
Coach Justin Gatlin
Olympic and World Champion Justin Gatlin has eight global championship 100m medals (three Olympic and five World Championship), making him the most decorated 100m sprinter of all time.View Justin's Bio ⟩
Gatlin's personal best of 9.74 seconds ranks fifth on the all-time list of male 100-meter athletes. He is a two-time 100m World Champion and a two-time 60 meters World Indoor Champion. Gatlin won both the 100m & 200m at the 2005 World Championships. He is also a World Champion in the 4x100m relay, which the United States of America team won at the 2019 World Championships.
Gatlin won the gold medal in the 100 meters at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. At the London 2012 London Olympic Games, he ran a time of 9.79 seconds, earning a bronze medal. He won his third Olympic medal in the 100 meters in the 2016 Olympic 100m final, finishing with the silver medal. At 34, he became the oldest man to win an Olympic medal in a non-relay sprint event. At the age of 35, Gatlin won the gold medal in the 100 meters at the 2017 World Championships, 12 years after his first triumph in the event. At the 2019 World Championships, Gatlin won the silver medal in the 100m in a time of 9.89, making him the most decorated 100m sprinter in World Championship history, with a record of five individual 100m medals. Gatlin’s tally of eight global championship 100m medals (three Olympic and five World Championship) makes him the most decorated 100m sprinter of all time, a feat he accomplished at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha.
Coach Rodney Green
Rodney Green is a former Professional track and field athlete for the Bahamas, having represented its national team on several occasions in international competition.View Rodney's Bio ⟩
Rodney's professional coaching career for track and field was under Elite Coach Brooks Johnson 2017-2021, and assisted coaching a number of Olympic world class athletes, inclduing Justin Gatlin, Francena McCorory and Lashawn Merritt.
Rodney now coaches his own professional group under the name of Prime Royalty Sports and develops high school youth speed and agility in all sports. Rodney has had success coaching on all levels respectively.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff to athlete ratio
- Grouped by: age, ability and event
- Evaluation: by coaching staff
- Equipment Needed: Athletes should bring at least one pair of broken in running shoes. Event shoes/spikes are recommended but not required. Please be sure to properly mark your equipment, so that it can be easily identified. Please review the Information Packet for a detailed checklist of items to bring.

HEALTH & RELEASE FORMS
All registered athletes are required to have a parent or legal guardian fill out US Sports Camps’ mandatory Health & Release Forms online before arrival at camp. This camp does NOT require a doctor's signature on the forms.
A detailed Information Packet containing check-in location and address, on-site staff contact information, a checklist of things to bring, site-specific forms, and more will be emailed to all registered athletes prior to the clinic. To check if your Information Packet is ready, click here.

Camp Questions & Answers
How and when will I receive my information packet with important camp details?
Well before the start of your camp (at least 3 weeks), you will receive a Information Packet which will include all the important details about camp: directions to camp, when to arrive, what to pack/ bring, camp address, and camp contact numbers and the Medical/Release form, etc.
Does the Health & Release Form need to be signed by a doctor?
Our Health & Release Form does not require a doctor’s signature. This form is required to be filled out accurately, and completed online prior to camp arrival.
Are meals provided?
Campers should bring their own water/drinks and snacks.
Are the campers supervised throughout the camp?
Yes, campers are supervised by the coaches and staff. All staff members complete criminal and sex offender background checks before working the camp.
Can I come to camp alone or do I have to be a member of a team?
We welcome individual campers and teams. It's a great place to meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for the sport and to have FUN!
