Get ready for an amazing experience at the Nike Speed Development Camp: The Jamaican Way. Coach David Riley and his coaching staff are ready to take your fitness to the next level at camp this summer. This camp is held at the beautiful Moorpark College. Each day is action-packed with event-specific drills, goal setting, and team mentality. Who doesn’t want to see their athlete get better while creating lasting friendships?
The Nike Speed Development Camp: The Jamaican Way offers athletes age 10-18 the opportunity to learn and develop as a more competitive runner.
Coach David Riley is the Head Coach of the Jamaican U-20 National Program and the current Head Coach of Excelsior High School in Jamaica. Riley is also the Founder and Performance Coach at Technique Lab Sports Performance and Fitness Center in Kingston, Jamaica.
Riley will be joined by Former Jamaican Olympian, Chris Faulkner and others.

Coach David Riley
Coach Riley is the Founder and Performance Coach at Technique Lab Sports Performance and Fitness Center in Kingston Jamaica. He is a World Athletics Level 3 Elite Coach in Sprints and Hurdles and holds degrees from Northeastern University and Georgia Institute of Technology. He is the Technical Director of Track and Field at both Excelsior High School and Excelsior Community College where he is leading a team of coaches to rebuild the Track and Field program there. He also coached at Wolmer’s Boys School from 2003 to 2012 and coached them to their historic Champs 100 win in 2010 at ISSA Boys & Girls Champs. He has served as National Senior Track and Field Coach for teams to the IAAF World Championships Doha 2019, London 2017, Panam Games and CAC Games and has also served as Head Coach to Carifta Games, Youth Olympics 2010 and 2018, and the World University Games.

- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:30AM-4:30PM
- Check-in: 15 minutes prior to camp start time
- Lunch: Campers should bring their own lunch and snacks

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
- Grouped by: age, ability and experience
- Evaluation: by coaching staff
- Equipment Needed: Campers should bring at least one pair of broken in running shoes. Event shoes/spikes are recommended but not required. Please be sure to properly mark your equipment, so that it can be easily identified.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.
ALL CAMPERS:
- Extra Athletic clothing
- 1-2 pairs of broken in running shoes/ event spikes
- Non-running shoes
- Water bottle
- Sunblock
- Packed lunch and snacks
- Small gym bag/backpack
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
CAMP TUITION PAYMENTS
Full payment of camp fees must be completed by the first day of the month before camp. For example:
- June Camps: final payment is due on May 1
- July Camps: final payment is due on June 1
- August Camps: final payment is due on July 1
Any camper with an unpaid balance 10 days before the start of their camp will forfeit all camp fees paid to date and be removed from the camp.
Your confirmation email shows your balance due and balance due date. Final payments can be made through the US Sports Camps Customer Portal or by phone at 1-800-645-3226.

Camp Questions & Answers
Does the Health & Release Form need to be signed by a doctor?
Our Health & Release Form does not require a doctor’s signature. This online form is required to be filled out accurately, signed by the parent (guardian), and completed before your first day of camp.
Can I come to camp alone or do I have to be a member of a team?
We welcome individual campers and teams. If you come to camp by yourself, it's a great place to meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for the sport and to have FUN!
Are the campers supervised throughout the camp?
Yes, campers are supervised by the coaches and staff. All staff members complete criminal and sex offender background checks before working the camp.
