WHAT FAMILIES SAY ABOUT Nike Swim Camp at University of Maryland

We cannot say enough about the swim camp at Johns Hopkins. My son has severe anxiety and made it through with the encouragement from his coaches. Coach Scott and his staff were amazing with the kids and accessible to the parents. They found a way to balance fun, with intensive instruction. My 11 year old cannot say enough about camp. We are ready to go back next year!
Although they swam a lot, I think the messages/videos/demos were extremely helpful...even for reinforcement. I know my daughter really appreciated the small tokens of encouragement, she won goggles for most improved....meant a lot!
This was by far the best and most complete camp our son has been to. Being a club swimmer he was looking for improvements on technique and Coach Marge delivered on all levels. We are very thankful for this experience and will be back next year for the overnight camp. Excellent setup and instruction throughout. Many Thanks
I was very impressed with the personalities and expertise of the swim counselors. The sessions were well planned out and they were a great influence on my daughter. She came home raving about the experience.
Our son thoroughly enjoyed this camp. He learned several ways to improve his strokes, techniques and dives. He came home excited about what he had learned each day.
My son absolutely loved the camp. I believe that he has matured in the last three days . The disciplined environment and strong workouts will definitely have an impact on his performance in the next swim competing season. Overall, as a parent, I also have a very positive impression about the camp and its coaches in terms of organization and dedication! I could see that the coaches really worked hard with the kids.
After finishing the camp, my daughter went home with much more confidence then I expected. She mentioned she now can actually glide in the water effortlessly after learning new techniques from her coach at Nike Camp. Very important for a competitive swimmer! Thanks to all the coaches and special thanks to Scott for making this a great experience.
My daughter had so much fun and enjoyed a different perspective from a new coach. She made wonderful friends who all share her passion for swimming. She also loved the food! It would be wonderful if the camp were 4 nights, rather than 3 nights. My daughter had the best time and really wished she could have had one more day of instruction and one more day of spending time with new friends.
This was the first time my daughter went to this camp and stayed overnight. She had a lot of fun, she definitely will come back next year. She loves the coaches and the type of training she received.
She expressed how glad she was to meet new friends and being able to have fun while having an intense learning environment. She talked about a wide variety of how she learned and others learned whether through tapes, history lessons, coaches, and most importantly other campers. Thank you for this wonderful experience and we look forward to coming back next year.
My son had a fabulous time at camp. The whole experience reinforced his passion for swimming. It was an experience that will stay with him for a long time to come.
My daughter was very nervous as she is shy and introverted. She ended up liking the camp much more than she anticipated and received an introverted leader award that really helped her feel much better about being an introvert! :)
