Our junior tennis camp welcomes boys and girls aged 7-18, of any skill level, to enhance their game, forge new friendships, and enjoy a blend of friendly competition and pure fun. Led by director Sharon Murphy and her expert staff, campers will receive individualized tennis instruction tailored to meet their specific needs and participate in technique based drilling and match play to improve overall tennis game and confidence.

Director Sharon Murphy
Sharon Murphy is a Level 4 certified professional by Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and a Master Professional in Junior Development. Sharon is also a Coach Developer for USTA (United States Tennis Association) and PTR.

Co Camp Director Michael Carducci
Michael Carducci is excited to join Sharon Murphy as a co director of the Nike Camp. Michael grew up playing tennis in New England and achieved number 1 rankings in the 12's, 14's, 16's and 18's age groups. His success as a junior continued as he went on to win multiple New England sectional titles as well as 2 New England Prep School Championships. After high school he went on to play for North Carolina State on a full scholarship; playing #2 singles for his team. Michael has 25 years of experience teaching and running camps for students of all levels and abilities. During this time he's coached multiple high school/tournament players to achieve state champion titles. Throughout his career as a Tennis Coach, he's trained over 100 students that have moved on to play division 1, 2, and 3 college tennis. Two of these students were high school state champions and went on to play for University of Texas and Villanova. He currently runs the high performance program at the East Hartford Tennis club

CAMP PROGRAM INFORMATION

SKILL LEVELS & GROUP PLACEMENT
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Campers are then sorted by ability first, then age per the Camp Director's discretion - adjustments are made as needed during camp.
While there are many ways to define skill levels, the following descriptions are what the Camp Directors at Nike Tennis Camps will use to organize and group camp participants. At the time of registration, please choose the level that best represents your athlete's experience:
Beginner: Players new to the game with little to no formal tennis instruction. They are still learning the fundamentals, focusing on basic skills and rules of the game. Typically play for recreation and have minimal match-play experience.
Intermediate: Players who can serve and sustain rallies with consistency. They are comfortable hitting medium-paced shots but may struggle with all strokes and directional control. Some may have participated in local tournaments and possess a UTR rating or are equivalent to a High School JV player.
Advanced: Players with dependable strokes and solid directional control. They demonstrate a strong competitive spirit, improved court coverage, and are developing strategies for both singles and doubles play. These players frequently compete in tournaments and have a USTA or UTR rating, or are equivalent to a High School Varsity player.
CAMP CHECK-IN/OUT
- Check-in: All campers check in at 8:30am
- Half-Day Campers Check-out: Half-day campers will check-out at 12:00pm daily
- Day Campers Check-out: Day campers will check out at 4:00pm daily
DAILY CAMP SCHEDULE
Please note: The information provided below is subject to change. Final details will be shared as soon as they are finalized.
MONDAY-FRIDAY
- 8:30am-9:00am - All campers check-in
- 9:00am-12:00pm - Drills and situational point play with mixed in conditioning
- 12:00pm - Half Day Campers dismissed
- 12:00pm-1:00pm - Lunch
- 1:00pm-4:00pm - Match play
- 4:00pm - Day Campers dismissed
MEALS
- Lunch is NOT provided. Campers will need to bring their own lunch each day.
- Additional snacks and beverages are available for purchase at the vending machines. Additionally, there will be a food cart available for participants to purchase lunch.
- Half-day campers depart before lunch.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: 5-6 hours of daily tennis training, morning and afternoon sessions
- Supervision: Staff members participate in all activities
- Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Tennis Camps t-shirt
EQUIPMENT, FACILITY & MORE
- Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle.
- Facility: 6 indoor tennis courts
- Inclement Weather Plan: Indoor facility
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
STATE OF CT REQUIRED HEALTH FORMS
In addition to the US Sports Camps online forms, the state of CT requires additional health forms for camp. Please print and complete the below required CT forms. These forms MUST be brought to camp on the first day.

CANCELLATION POLICIES *PLEASE READ CAREFULLY*
These policies are in place to account for camp fees associated with each registration that is made in advance of the program. Camper waives any and all damages that may otherwise arise out of any camp cancellation and agrees to accept as liquidated damages said registration fees.
OVERNIGHT CAMPER CANCELLATION POLICY:
- If you need to cancel for any reason up until 14 days prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for 100% of tuition fees paid.
- If you need to cancel from 1-13 days prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for 50% of tuition fees paid.
DAY CAMPER CANCELLATION POLICY:
- This policy applies to all non-overnight campers and clinic participants. If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid.
ALL CAMPER CANCELLATION POLICY (within 24 hours):
- After the 24-hour cancellation window has expired, no refunds or vouchers for camp fees paid will be issued for voluntary withdrawal, schedule conflicts, or behavioral dismissal.
- Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive any voucher or refund.
- Vouchers will be considered for cancellations due to family emergencies, illness, or injury upon receipt of required documentation such as physician's notes, medical records, etc.
VOUCHER REDEMPTION & REFUNDS:
- If you need to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for the tuition fees paid, valid for one year for any sport and transferable to any immediate family member. Please note that participants who do not attend their registered session (no-shows) or fail to notify USSC at least 24 hours prior to check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.
- Refunds are available only if the Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your payment due date (1st of the month prior to your camp start date).
- The voucher is good through the following year for any sport camp with available capacity and is transferable to any immediate family member.
CANCELLATION PROTECTION:
- US Sports Camps offers our camp families Cancellation Protection for $100 per session, due at the time of registration. Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of your camp tuition fees paid to date if you cancel for any reason before your final payment date (the first day of the month prior to the month of your camp start date, i.e., final pay date is May 1st if your camp date begins in the month of June). Please note: $100 Cancellation Protection and Registration Fee are non-refundable.
- With Cancellation Protection, if you cancel after your final payment due date and at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher good through the following year that is transferable to any immediate family member and may be used for any sport.
*Cancellation Protection is not available for any Stanford Camp. Please call for details.
Cancellation Due to Inclement Weather
- In the event a camp day is cancelled or camp hours are adjusted due to inclement weather, we will make every effort to provide make-up time. If make-up time is not possible, no refund will be issued for the first cancelled day or any shortened hours. If additional full days are cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, a pro-rated camp credit voucher will be issued for each cancelled day beyond the first.

ACCOMMODATIONS & TRAVEL
- This is a Day Camp only; housing is NOT included in the camp tuition. Campers are responsible for arranging their own overnight accommodations if needed.
- Nike Tennis Camp does not provide any transportation to/from camp from the airport, train stations, or bus depots.
- US Sports Camps, the Camp Director, camp staff, and the host facility are not liable for any travel-related arrangements, including but not limited to flights, hotels, Airbnbs, or rental cars.
- We recommend booking refundable or flexible travel and accommodation options in case of any changes to the camp schedule.
