We are excited for the Nike Tennis Camp at the Zionsville High School Courts this summer! Zionsville Tennis Camp host top junior tennis players each summer. Reserve your Zionsville Tennis camp soon. Head Coaches, Rick Witsken and Gareth Somers, for an unforgettable tennis camp experience in Zionsville, Indiana!

This junior tennis camp in Zionsville, Indiana offers a day tennis camp from 9:00am-3:00pm (ages 9-18), a morning half-day camp from 9:00am-12:00pm (ages 9-13), and an afternoon half-day camp from 3:00pm-7:00pm (ages 13-18) for boys and girls of all ability levels. Campers will work hard, make new friends and have a lot of fun playing and gaining new skills.

    Rick Witsken

    Camp Director

    Top ranked Senior Pro, Co-Founder of the National Pickleball League (NPL), winner of over 100 Senior and Open Pro Medals, and director of over 50 camps Rick Witsken. Rick is currently ranked #1 on the APP Senior Pro Men’s Standings. He is the proud founder and owner of Team Witsken, which has run indoor tennis programs in Indianapolis and its surrounding area communities for the past 16 years. In addition to tennis, Team Witsken also offers Pickleball programs for all ages and levels. He is the seventh of eight children, was a two-time Indiana State Champion in singles and was one of four siblings to earn full tennis scholarships to a Division I school. At the University of Alabama, Rick was a two-time All-American, reaching the No. 1 doubles ranking in the country. Rick currently has a podcast RipSken Pickleball, posts many instructional videos as well via the Midwest Pickleball club. He also founded/funded the first public scholastic middle school pickleball team at Zionsville Middle School.

    Rick Witsken

    Camp Director

    Rick was world-ranked on the ATP Tour in both singles and doubles. He began his post-playing career working with his brother, Todd Witsken, at the Indianapolis Tennis Center, serving as Tennis Director and coach of the IUPUI men's tennis team.

    Rick enjoys competing. He has 15 Gold medals at the Pro level in singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles, including Gold medals with Dave Weinbach and Simone Jardim. He is a two-time Gold medalist at the US Open. Rick is the proud father to three children Brittany, Peyton, and Colin who all play tennis.

CAMP PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • Camp Type(s) Offered: Half Day (9:00am-12:00pm, Ages 9-13), Half Day (3:00pm-6:00pm, Ages 13-18) & Full Day (9:00am-3:00pm, Ages 9-18)

  • Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced

SKILL LEVELS & GROUP PLACEMENT

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Campers are then sorted by ability first, then age per the Camp Director's discretion - adjustments are made as needed during camp.

While there are many ways to define skill levels, the following descriptions are what the Camp Directors at Nike Tennis Camps will use to organize and group camp participants. At the time of registration, please choose the level that best represents your athlete's experience:

  • Beginner: Players new to the game with little to no formal tennis instruction. They are still learning the fundamentals, focusing on basic skills and rules of the game. Typically play for recreation and have minimal match-play experience.

  • Intermediate: Players who can serve and sustain rallies with consistency. They are comfortable hitting medium-paced shots but may struggle with all strokes and directional control. Some may have participated in local tournaments and possess a UTR rating or are equivalent to a High School JV player.

  • Advanced: Players with dependable strokes and solid directional control. They demonstrate a strong competitive spirit, improved court coverage, and are developing strategies for both singles and doubles play. These players frequently compete in tournaments and have a USTA or UTR rating, or are equivalent to a High School Varsity player.

CAMP CHECK-IN/OUT

  • Full Day and Morning Half-Day Check-in: Full day and morning half-day campers check in at 8:30am
  • Afternoon Half-Day Check-in: Afternoon half-day campers check-in at 3:00pm
  • Full Day Check-out: Full day campers will check out daily at 3:00pm
  • Morning Half-Day Campers Check-out: Morning half-day campers check-out daily at 12:00pm
  • Afternoon Half-Day Campers Check-out: Afternoon half-day camper check-out daily at 6:00pm

CAMP SCHEDULE

  • Full Day Camper Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Morning Half-Day Camper Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Afternoon Half-Day Camper Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm

MEALS

Lunch is not provided. Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day and any snack they need through out the day. Plus a water bottle. There will be water jugs on site for campers to refill water bottles

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: 3-6 hours of daily tennis training, morning and afternoon sessions
  • Supervision: Staff members participate in all activities
  • Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Tennis Camps t-shirt

EQUIPMENT, FACILITY & MORE

  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle.
  • Facility: Large athletic facility with 12 tennis courts and locker rooms if needed
  • Inclement Weather Plan: We will be moving indoors to the Retreat Northwest
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for the tuition fees paid, valid for one year for any sport and transferable to any immediate family member. Please note that participants who do not attend their registered session (no-shows) or fail to notify USSC at least 24 hours prior to check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.

Refunds are available only if the Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your payment due date (1st of the month prior to your camp start date).
