Join us for an unforgettable summer at Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon! This day camp is designed for aspiring young tennis players aged 9-17 who want to elevate their game and have a blast while doing it.

At the Oregon Elite Nike Tennis Camp, we focus on building essential tennis skills, including scoring, technique, and court positioning. Mornings are dedicated to dynamic drills that enhance your foundational skills, while afternoons are filled with practical application through match play, strategic shot selection, and competitive scenarios.

Led by our experienced directors and coaching staff, campers will enjoy a blend of supervised match play, fitness training, and time to connect with friends. Join us for a summer of growth, camaraderie, and tennis fun!

    Coach Lindner loves tennis. He loves to play tennis, he loves to watch tennis, and he loves to teach and coach tennis. His passion for tennis has led him to the Oregon Elite Nike Tennis Camps this summer. He is very excited and can’t wait to get started.

    Head Tennis Coach

    Coach Lindner taught Elementary Physical Education in the Beaverton School District for 30 years and coached High School Tennis for 36 years. He was a 7-time Metro League Tennis Coach of the Year, and in 2017 he was selected as the Section 8 High School Tennis Coach of the Year (AK, OR, WA, ID). Kurt served as the 6A Boys High School Tennis Representative to the Oregon Coaches Athletic Association for many years and was the Chairman of the 6A Boys seeding committee to the State Tournament. Coach Lindner has been the tournament director for the Oregon School Activities Association State Tournament and has run other tournaments at the high school level.

    In addition to coaching High School Tennis, Coach Lindner has been involved with other organizations that promote the game. He has been a tennis teacher and instructor at Portland Community College, presented skill and strategy sessions at several coaching clinics and workshops, and coached at many Tilmanis Summer Tennis Camps. Kurt also served as the Tennis Commissioner/Tournament Director for State Games of Oregon. He was the chairman of the Junior Team Tennis program for the USTA/ Pacific Northwest Section and in 2011 was selected as a Community Champion by the USTA.

    The Summer Nike Tennis Camps at Jesuit High School are another opportunity for him to work with young people to help them improve their game, have a lot of fun in the process, and enjoy the lifelong sport of tennis.

OREGON ELITE TENNIS' MISSION:

CAMP PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • Camp Type(s) Offered: Half Day (9:00am-12:00pm) & Full Day (9:00am-4:00pm)
  • Gender: Coed
  • Age Range: 9-17
  • Skill Level: Beginner & Intermediate

SKILL LEVELS & GROUP PLACEMENT

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Campers are then sorted by ability first, then age per the Camp Director's discretion - adjustments are made as needed during camp.

While there are many ways to define skill levels, the following descriptions are what the Camp Directors at Nike Tennis Camps will use to organize and group camp participants. At the time of registration, please choose the level that best represents your athlete's experience:

  • Beginner: Players new to the game with little to no formal tennis instruction. They are still learning the fundamentals, focusing on basic skills and rules of the game. Typically play for recreation and have minimal match-play experience.

  • Intermediate: Players who can serve and sustain rallies with consistency. They are comfortable hitting medium-paced shots but may struggle with all strokes and directional control. Some may have participated in local tournaments and possess a UTR rating or are equivalent to a High School JV player.

CAMP CHECK-IN/OUT

  • Check-in: All campers check in at 8:45am on the first day of camp at the Tennis Courts. Campers should come dressed to play.
  • Half Day Check-out: 12:00pm each day
  • Full Day Check-out: 4:00pm each day

CAMP SCHEDULE

  • Half Day Schedule: Monday 8:45am-12:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Full Day Schedule: Monday 8:45am-4:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm

MEALS

  • Lunch is NOT provided. Full Day campers must bring their own lunch each day.
  • Half Day campers depart before lunch.

EQUIPMENT, FACILITY & MORE

  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle
  • Facility: Jesuit High School features 6 outdoor courts
  • Parking: Use the 91st Street entrance to Jesuit High School and park near the tennis courts for morning drop-off and pick-up
  • Inclement Weather Plan: In case of inclement weather, we will be using Friday as a make-up day
  • Medical Protocol: In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

CANCELLATION POLICIES *PLEASE READ CAREFULLY*

These policies are in place to account for camp fees associated with each registration that is made in advance of the program. Camper waives any and all damages that may otherwise arise out of any camp cancellation and agrees to accept as liquidated damages said registration fees.

OVERNIGHT CAMPER CANCELLATION POLICY:
  • If you need to cancel for any reason up until 14 days prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for 100% of tuition fees paid.
  • If you need to cancel from 1-13 days prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for 50% of tuition fees paid.
DAY CAMPER CANCELLATION POLICY:
  • This policy applies to all non-overnight campers and clinic participants. If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid.
ALL CAMPER CANCELLATION POLICY (within 24 hours):
  • After the 24-hour cancellation window has expired, no refunds or vouchers for camp fees paid will be issued for voluntary withdrawal, schedule conflicts, or behavioral dismissal.
  • Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive any voucher or refund.
  • Vouchers will be considered for cancellations due to family emergencies, illness, or injury upon receipt of required documentation such as physician's notes, medical records, etc.
VOUCHER REDEMPTION & REFUNDS:
  • If you need to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for the tuition fees paid, valid for one year for any sport and transferable to any immediate family member. Please note that participants who do not attend their registered session (no-shows) or fail to notify USSC at least 24 hours prior to check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.
  • Refunds are available only if the Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your payment due date (1st of the month prior to your camp start date).
  • The voucher is good through the following year for any sport camp with available capacity and is transferable to any immediate family member.
CANCELLATION PROTECTION:
  • US Sports Camps offers our camp families Cancellation Protection for $100 per session, due at the time of registration. Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of your camp tuition fees paid to date if you cancel for any reason before your final payment date (the first day of the month prior to the month of your camp start date, i.e., final pay date is May 1st if your camp date begins in the month of June). Please note: $100 Cancellation Protection and Registration Fee are non-refundable.
  • With Cancellation Protection, if you cancel after your final payment due date and at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher good through the following year that is transferable to any immediate family member and may be used for any sport.

*Cancellation Protection is not available for any Stanford Camp. Please call for details.

Cancellation Due to Inclement Weather
  • In the event a camp day is cancelled or camp hours are adjusted due to inclement weather, we will make every effort to provide make-up time. If make-up time is not possible, no refund will be issued for the first cancelled day or any shortened hours. If additional full days are cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, a pro-rated camp credit voucher will be issued for each cancelled day beyond the first.

ACCOMMODATIONS & TRAVEL

  • This is a Day Camp only; housing is NOT included in the camp tuition. Campers are responsible for arranging their own overnight accommodations if needed.
  • Nike Tennis Camp does not provide any transportation to/from camp from the airport, train stations, or bus depots.
  • US Sports Camps, the Camp Director, camp staff, and the host facility are not liable for any travel-related arrangements, including but not limited to flights, hotels, Airbnbs, or rental cars.
  • We recommend booking refundable or flexible travel and accommodation options in case of any changes to the camp schedule.
